WBB TAKES ON NO. 23 WASHINGTON
BOULDER, Colo. ? The No. 17/15 Colorado Buffaloes (6-1) will put a six-game home winning streak on the line as they face the NR/No. 23 Washington Huskies (5-0) in a 7 p.m. showdown at the Coors Events Center tonight.
Tickets are still available for the tilt and can be bought under the Two for Tuesday promotion with two general admission tickets going for the price of one.
Tonight’s contest is the first time the Huskies have played a ranked team this season. The Huskies are led by senior Giuliana Mendiola who averages 21.2 ppg and 7.4 rpg. In their last outing, Mendiola had 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds as the Huskies beat Notre Dame, 85-74.
The Buffs have enjoyed a six-day break from competition after beating the Colorado State Rams on Wednesday, Dec. 3 in Fort Collins. Randie Wirt had 14 points to lead the Buffs to an 81-74 victory.
