Junior men's basketball player Blair Wilson earns athlete of the week honors after a pair of outstanding games for Colorado last week. The junior guard/forward posted his first double-double at Kansas and later scored a career-high 26 points against Missouri.

Wilson began the week with his first-ever double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds in CU's 94-87 loss at No. 6 Kansas. The junior, guard/forward was 9-for-15 from the field at KU. Wilson scored a career- and game-high 26 points (6-for-10 three pointers) in CU's 89-68 home win over Missouri. He also tied his personal-best in steals with four and his six three-pointers against Mizzou were a season-high.

For the week, he averaged 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.5 three-point field goals. Wilson is the CU all-time leader in minutes played without fouling out (2,052). Wilson is second in team scoring (13.9) and the team leader in 3-pointers made (70) for the Buffaloes (16-9, 6-6 Big 12).

Others nominated for this week's award were Tera Bjorklund (women's basketball) and Jessica Vanderdys (women's tennis).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Tera Bjorklund, Junior, St. Peter, Minn.
Tera Bjorklund scored a game-high 22 points to lift the Colorado Buffaloes to a 69-48 win over Missouri on Saturday afternoon at the Coors Events Center. The Buffs improved their record to 19-5 (9-4 Big 12) with the victory inching ever so close to head coach Ceal Berry's12th 20-win season in her 20-year career at Colorado. The win also solidified the Buffs' No. 4 position in the conference.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Jessica Vanderdys, Freshman, Centreville, Va.
The Colorado women's tennis team rallied from a 3-1 deficit to win three consecutive singles matches to upset No. 32 Wisconsin, 4-3, Saturday evening at the Boulder Country Club Tennis Courts. Freshman Jessica Vanderdys clinched the match at No. 5 singles with a three-set triumph over Lara Vojnov, 6-4, 6-7, 6-2. Vanderdys evened her spring record at 3-3. With the win, the Buffaloes improve to 5-2 heading into their second Big 12 match at Missouri this Saturday, March 1.
