No. 45 CU Rolls Over Texas Tech, 6-1

LUBBOCK, Texas - The No. 45th ranked Colorado women's tennis team won their third match in a row defeating Big 12 foe Texas Tech, 6-1, Saturday afternoon.
With the win, CU improves to 8-3 overall and evens their conference record at two. The Lady Red Raiders dropped to 4-3 and 1-2 in Big 12 play.
CU had a little trouble securing the doubles point, however managed to take two of three matches for a 1-0 lead. The Buffs won the No. 2 and No. 3 slots with Katherine Anne Lutgert and Kendra Strandemo taking an 8-6 win at No. 2, followed by Jessica Vanderdys and Morgan Sall winning 8-6 at No. 3.
In singles, CU dominated taking five of six slots - all in straight sets for its second win in conference play this season. Dominique Lemperle started the day with a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles. It was Lemperle's sixth win in nine tries at the top singles slot this season.
At No. 3, Lutgert won her 10th match of the season taking a 6-0, 6-3 match and at No. 4 Strandemo remained unbeaten at her respective slot (7-0) cruising to a 6-0, 6-3 win. It was also Strandemo's 10th win of the spring and seventh in a row.
At No. 5 and No. 6 singles, Vanderdys and Sall kept to their winning ways, each winning their fifth consecutive match. Vanderdys was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 5, while Sall took an easy 6-3, 6-1 match at No. 6.
Colorado continues its conference season through the Lone Star State with back-to-back matches against Texas A&M (March 21) and Texas (March 22) this weekend.
