BOULDER - The University of Colorado women’s tennis team is ranked No. 44 in the preseason NCAA Division I poll released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The first rankings of the season are based on voting by Division I head coaches. The Buffaloes are one of 10 Big 12 Conference schools selected among the top 75.

CU returns seven letterwinners from last season’s 14-9 team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament and finished the season with a No. 39 national ranking. Fifth-year head coach Nicole Kenneally welcomes three newcomers to the Boulder as the Buffaloes begin the spring season with a home date against the University of Denver (No. 75), January 24 at 6 p.m.

CU will play six of its first eight matches at home throughout January and February.
