STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State was beaten by Colorado in Boulder last season, but it's been 14 years since the Buffaloes were able to squeeze out a win in Stillwater.

The 24th-ranked Cowboys look to extend their home-winning streak against Colorado to 20 games as the Big 12 rivals square off at Gallagher-Iba Arena on Wednesday.

Oklahoma State (12-2, 2-1) leads the all-time series with the Buffaloes 54-45, including a 34-9 mark in Stillwater. Since coach Eddie Sutton's return as Cowboys coach, they are 14-5 against the Buffs, with all five losses coming in Boulder.

The last time Colorado (10-4, 2-1) defeated Oklahoma State in Stillwater was Jan. 12, 1980, when the Buffaloes squeezed out a 58-56 victory.

Colorado could have its hands full against the Cowboys' high-scoring offense. Oklahoma State has scored at least 80 points in nine consecutive games to lift its team scoring average to 79 per game, good for second in the Big 12.

The Cowboys are shooting 52.8 percent from the floor and they lead the conference with an average margin of victory of 19.5 points.

Junior point guard John Lucas makes the Oklahoma State offense go with 72 assists and just 24 turnovers in 14 games. Lucas is second on the team in scoring at 12.3 points per game, trailing teammate Tony Allen, who averages 15.7.

Allen's defense keyed the Cowboys in their last game. He blocked Jarrett Hart's potential game-winning 3-pointer as Oklahoma State rallied to beat Kansas State 57-56 on Saturday night.

Colorado has won two of its three conference game, with the lone loss coming in a 77-62 setback to No. 12 Kansas on Jan. 5.

The Buffaloes have won four straight overall since, including back-to-back conference wins over Nebraska and Iowa State, respectively.

Blair Wilson scored 22 points and Michel Morandais added 19 to lead Colorado to an 88-70 win over the Cyclones on Saturday.
