TSUDA/DIGLIODO EARN AT-LARGE BID AT ITA INDOORS

BOULDER ? University of Colorado men’s tennis student-athletes Chad Tsuda and Marcos Digliodo have received an At-Large bid to play at this weekend’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
It’s believed to be the first honor for the Colorado men’s tennis program in receiving a bid to the national indoors, which will begin Thursday. Tsuda, a junior from Boulder, and Digliodo, a sophomore from Argentina, will be one of 16 doubles teams competing. The national indoor is the second of three championship tournaments recognized in the 2004-05 collegiate season. The ITA Men’s Championships in September is the first of the season, concluded with the NCAA Championships in May. “It’s a great honor for our program to get invited to an elite event,” said CU head coach Sam Winterbotham. “We’re extremely proud to have Chad and Marcos represent CU against the elite teams in the country. It’s also a great experience for both of them as they approach the spring season in January.” Tsuda and Digliodo have played only once this fall as a team, however are 4-1 having reached the final of the Wilson/ITA Mountain Regional Tournament at UNLV, Oct. 22-24.
