CU FOOTBALL THIS WEEK: KANSAS STATE

QUICKLY The Colorado Buffaloes (5-4, 2-4 Big 12) host the Kansas State Wildcats (4-5, 2-4 Big 12) in a pivotal game that could go a long way in deciding the division champion this Saturday, November 13 in a 12:30 p.m. mountain kickoff at Folsom Field... The game will not be televised... One could say both the Buffs and Wildcats can relate to Godfather Vito Corleone: "TheyGÇÖve lost four times and theyGÇÖre still alive," as the winner doesnGÇÖt need that much else to happen if it wins its last two games (but only Iowa State controls its own destiny; see page 3 for the scenarios for CU to win the division... Colorado is now 15-3 against Big 12 North opposition since the 2001 season; other records in the same span: Kansas State 14-4, Nebraska 11-8, Iowa State 7-11, Missouri 5-13 and Kansas 3-16 (CU has lost eight straight games to South Division teams)... Dating back to 1985, Colorado is 64-12 against teams with three or more losses; CU is also 45-16-1 in its last 62 games played in November, including an 8-2 mark against Kansas State (41-8 when not including Nebraska)...
