The Buffaloes came close early in the second half, taking a brief 70-68 lead on Jayson Obazuaye's 3-pointer, but Stephens countered with his own 3-pointer and the Beavers went out on a 10-2 run. CU shot a season-best 58 percent (33-of-57) from the field.

Hall, who made 12 of his 16 shots, couldn't maintain his first-half production, scoring only seven points in the second half.

All five Colorado starters scored in double-figures, including Obazuaye and Chris Copeland, who each had 15 points.
