BOULDER ? Help spread holiday cheer and support the Colorado Buffaloes at the same time by purchasing tickets to the Dec. 29, EV1.net Houston Bowl, and then donating them to Houston-area Armed Forces members and their families.
Tickets are available for $57.00 apiece, and will get a lucky person/family into the contest that showcases your Big 12 North Champion Buffs against the University of Texas-El Paso later this month. Simply buy one ticket (or several) for donation and extend happiness to deserving people during this joyous season.
CU (7-5, 4-4 Big 12) will square off against an 8-3 UTEP team that finished second in the WAC this season. In what is CU’s 26th bowl appearance, the Buffaloes-Miners bout is the first ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
CU returns to postseason action for the first time since the 2002 Alamo Bowl. In their history, the Buffs have posted an 11-14 record in bowl games, as the they rank sixth in the Big 12 in bowl appearances behind Texas (44), Nebraska (42), Oklahoma (38), Texas A&M (28) and Texas Tech (28).
