DALLAS ? University of Colorado freshman Lynzee Kever of Oklahoma City, Okla., was selected
Big 12 Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches from Feb. 10-16, 2004, the conference office announced.

Kever, who prepped at Shawnee Mission (Kan.) East HS, downed the No. 1 singles players for both Texas Tech and Texas in Big 12 dual matches last week. She defeated No. 31-nationally and Big 12 2003 Preseason Freshman of the Year Petra Dizdar 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 and ousted Texas Tech's All-Big 12 senior Irina Tereschenko 7-6, 1-6, 6-4.

 

The latter victory started the Buffaloes on their way to a 5-2 league win over the Lady Raiders. Kever raised her 2004 record to 5-1 in singles and 4-2 in doubles after her inaugural intraconference activity.

 

CU (3-3, 1-1 Big 12) hosts Missouri (5-0, 0-0) this Saturday at 2:00 p.m. (MST) at the Harvest House.
