Marko Bundalo and Marek Dvorak picked up singles victories for
The Broncos began the match taking the doubles point after picking up victories in the top two doubles slots.
“I think that doubles point got away,” head coach Sam Winterbotham said following the match. “I think we really needed that point when we were playing against the No. 34-ranked tea in the country. At No. 3 singles, Bundalo picked up his eighth victory on the season. Despite dropping the first set 4-6, and falling behind in the second set tie-breaker, Bundalo regained composure to win the match.
“In singles, I was really proud of Marko,” Winterbotham said. “He came back from down 4-2 in the second set breaker and won. It’s encouraging to see that.”
Winterbotham was also pleased with the play of freshman Dvorak who he said “competed hard to win a great match against another talented freshman.” Dvorak improved his record at No. 5 singles to 3-1. His overall record stands at 13-6.
