Priority Point System
The University of Colorado Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has an established priority point system for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and women’s volleyball that recognizes loyalty to the program as well as continuous financial support.
Seating locations are assigned according to priority point totals. A combination of lifetime and annual points are used in assigning the seats. The following scale shows how points are calculated.
Lifetime Points (cumulative points that carry over each year)
1. Lifetime Donations 1 point for each $100 contribution to CU Athletics
2. Continuous Contributor 3 points for each consecutive year as a BUFF CLUB fund donor at the $100+ level.
3. Season Tickets 5 points for each consecutive year as a season ticket holder, within each sport.
Annual Points (Non-Cumulative points that are earned each year)
4. Annual Contribution 1 point for each $100 contribution to the BUFF CLUB.
5. Athletic Capital Fund 1 point for each $500 gift to the Athletic & Endowment Fund, Department Capital or Endowment Fund.
6. Buff Club Referrals 2 points for every NEW Buff Club Member who you refer to join the Buff Club.
7. CU Faculty & Staff 10 points for active and retired members of the faculty/staff with a 50% or more appointment.
8. Alumni C Club 5 points for dues paying members of the Alumni C Club (Varsity Letterwinners).
9. CU Alumnus 1 point per account.
10. Post-Season Play 1 point per event
