LUBBOCK, Texas ? The Colorado men’s tennis team dropped their 10th straight match and 13th of the season to nationally ranked teams, falling to No. 65 Texas Tech, 6-0, Sunday afternoon at the Falls Country Club.

The Buffaloes are 5-15 overall and drop to 1-6 in the Big 12 with two non-conference matches remaining on its spring schedule. The Red Raiders improve 11-9 and 2-3 in conference play.

In singles play, CU held tough in three of the six singles positions losing three of those in the final set. Marek Dvork and Chad Tsuda each dropped the first set, then rallied in the second to push the match to the decisive third. Dvorak, who tops the Buffaloes in victories this season with 17, lost 6-4 in his final set.

Tsuda, a Boulder native also rallied in the second set, however lost his comeback bid in third falling 10-8,

Elliot Quibell was the other CU player who lost in the final set succumbing 11-9.

The doubles portion was not played.

Colorado continues on the road with its second meeting with the University of Denver on Saturday, April 17 at 2 p.m. at the Stapleton Tennis Center. DU defeated CU back on March 30, 4-3 in Boulder.
