SULLIVAN'S SPIKES: USA BACK ON WINNING TRACK
Welcome to Sullivan's Spikes!
During the Olympic Games Erik Sullivan, the newest member of the
Colorado volleyball coaching staff, will give an insiders
perspective on Team USA's quest for a gold medal in mens'
volleyball in Athens. An eight-year veteran of the US
National Team, Sullivan is competing with Team USA in his second
Olympic games.

Finally, we won a match in the Olympics. We played Holland
and played them well. Even though we started the match slow,
we had a late rally in the first set and then rolled through them
in three. It feels so good to be back in the mix of things in
the tournament.
No time to rest though, we have Russia next. We've played
them a bunch recently and know how good they can be. If we
can only maintain our level and keep putting pressure on them we
should be fine. The morning of the match, we wake up, watch
video, eat, train, eat, more video, nap, eat, and hopefully we're
ready. We'll see how it turns out in a few hours
