Welcome to Sullivan's Spikes! During the Olympic Games Erik Sullivan, the newest member of the Colorado volleyball coaching staff, will give an insiders perspective on Team USA's quest for a gold medal in mens' volleyball in Athens.  An eight-year veteran of the US National Team, Sullivan is competing with Team USA in his second Olympic games.

We played a very unemotional Brazil last night and we able to beat them in four.  It was a nice win, considering they are the #1 team in the world and nobody has beaten them yet.  The win puts us in 3rd place in our pool so we match up with Greece in the quarterfinals.  This should be a great match.  Greece is playing well and they will have the home advantage with about 15,000 fans.  Should be a fun game to play and watch.  If we can keep our level high and fight off some of their serves it should be a great match.

Today, there is more of the same daily routine.  A late afternoon practice followed by some therapy and video.  My wife, Amanda, is coming to visit the village today, so it will be nice to be able to see her, as we have been only been able to see each  other a couple of times.
