BUFFS HEAD FOR SHOOTOUT AT OK STATE

QUICKLY...The University of Colorado (8-7, 1-3 Big 12 Conference) will travel to face Oklahoma State University (5-10, 0-5 Big 12) on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 5 p.m. MST at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater, Okla.
BUFFS ON THE AIR...ColoradoGÇÖs game at Oklahoma State will be broadcast live on KHOW AM 630, due to a conflict with the menGÇÖs game at Iowa State which will air on AM 760 at 6 p.m.. Tim Smile will handle play by play duties and is joined by USA BasketballGÇÖs Carol Callan with the color commentary.
31ST SEASON...Colorado is in its 31st season of varsity womenGÇÖs basketball sporting an all-time record of 585-320 (.646). The Buffaloes have made 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, all since 1988, including six Sweet 16 appearances and three trips to the Elite Eight (1993, 1995 & 2002).
LEAGUE SEASON WELL UNDERWAY...Colorado broke a three-game losing streak and cracked the win column in the Big 12 with its 56-51 triumph over Missouri on Tuesday. CU also improved its record on the road this season to 3-3. ColoradoGÇÖs three league losses have come to teams -- Nebraska, Iowa State and Texas Tech, that are a combined 12-2 in the Big 12. Sophomore forward Anna Nedovic leads a balanced CU scoring attack at 10.9 points per contest. Nedovic, who also posts a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game, is one of six Buffs averaging at least six points per game. Senior point guard Veronica Johns-Richardson is averaging 9.9 points per contest and paces the Buffaloes in 3-point field goals (21), steals (33) and assists (43). The freshman duo of forward Jackie McFarland and center Kara Richards have nearly identical outputs, combining for 19.7 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. Richards, who has started all 15 games, is averaging 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds a contest. McFarland, a two-time Big 12 Rookie of the Week, is averaging 9.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. On the outside, sophomore Jasmina Ilic averages 8.3 points per game while junior Whitney Law is sixth on the squad in the scoring column (6.6 ppg) and has a team-best .433 average from 3-point land (13-of-30).
