Tennis Hosting Home Event Dec. 4 at Balch Fieldhouse

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado men’s and women’s tennis teams will be hosting their own CU “Your Team” Tennis day on Sunday, December 4 from 5-7 p.m. at the Balch Fieldhouse for an evening of top-notch, entertaining tennis. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The event is FREE and open to the public. Free parking is also available in Lots 169, 396, and 436. For those wishing to park in Lot 378 there will be a $2 charge. Pepsi will be providing refreshments with free t-shirts being handed out while supplies last, in addition to door prizes be given away between matches. Four current CU men and women players will team up with local tennis greats for an exciting evening of tennis. Buff seniors Chad Tsuda and Marko Bundalo will be participating, along with senior Jessica Vanderdys and freshman Monica Milewski. Joining them will be former Buff and Colorado Tennis Hall of Fame member Kathleen Winegardner; local pros Miikka Keronen of Boulder Country Club, and Brian Sullivan, 1970s-era Cherry Creek Bruin star now teaching at the Harvest House. “We are really excited for Sunday and for the Boulder community to come out and watch their CU teams compete in a fun competitive atmosphere,” said CU women’s head coach Nicole Kenneally. “Players on the current men’s and women’s squads will be playing along with some alums and local pros.” The evening will also feature a modified World Team Tennis format, complete with a chair umpire, line judges and ball kids.
