Men's Tennis Upset At Utah, 4-3

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah ? In its second match against a mountain region opponent in as many days, unranked Utah squeezed out a 4-3 victory over No. 65 Colorado, 4-3, Sunday afternoon in a non-conference men’s tennis match.
The Utes remain unbeaten at 8-0, while the Buffaloes fall to 4-4. CU lost 7-0 to No. 60 BYU on Saturday.
It was a much better showcase for CU on Sunday than 24 hours earlier as the men secured three singles points. Marko Bundalo won his first match of dual spring season at No. 1 singles taking a straight-set winner, 7-6, 6-2; Marcos Digliodo won his fourth dual match in two sets (7-5, 6-3); and Chad Tsuda took a 6-3, 6-4 winner for his fourth win in five outings.
“Give Utah credit, they played a very good match indoors,” said CU head coach Sam Winterbotham. “We just haven’t gotten over the hump. This program is not used to winning; we have the talent and everyone gave the effort today, but we’re just not creating our opportunities to win.”
Colorado travels to the Blue-Gray Intercollegiate, March 10-13 at Montgomery, Ala.
