BOISE, Idaho ? The University of Colorado men’s tennis team dropped their second match in as many days falling to No. 50 South Alabama, 5-2, Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match hosted by Boise State University.

 

            South Alabama improves to 14-4, while the Buffaloes fall to 7-9. CU will round out the third day of the competition at Boise State taking on Idaho (3-8) Sunday morning.

 

“Chad (Tsuda) and Marcos (Digliodo) played great and stepped up for us today,” said CU head coach Sam Winterbotham. “Marek (Dvorak) lost a close one. It’s a learning process right now with a lot of great lessons helping us move forward this season.”

 

Trailing 1-0 after the doubles portion CU only managed two of the next six singles slots. Digliodo won his fifth consecutive match rallying in three-sets (3-6, 6-3, 7-5), while Tsuda won his seventh of his last eight matches taking an easy 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5.

           

On the season, Digliodo won his team-best 19th match of the season (9th spring) and Tsuda his 15th overall. Tsuda has won a team-high 10 spring dual matches for CU.
