                 DALLAS, Texas ? The University of Colorado men’s tennis team played tough in every match from singles to doubles, however, fell 5-2 Friday afternoon to No. 52 Southern Methodist University in a non-conference match.

              The Buffaloes have lost three of its last four and drop to 8-10 on the season, while the Mustangs improve to 13-9.

            After falling in the doubles portion and trailing 1-0, SMU closed its home season schedule on a winning note taking four of the next six singles positions.

            CU earned points at the No. 2 and No. 3 slots behind Marko Bundalo and Peter Bjork. Bundalo took a straight-set winner over Gwinyai Chingoka 7-6, 6-0 to break a three-match losing streak for his 16th win of the year at No. 2.

 

            Bjork earned the other CU point at No. 3 taking a come-from-behind winner (3-6, 7-5, 7-6). Bjork won his 12th match of the season.

 

In the dual season, Bundalo notched his fifth win, while Bjork recorded his eighth of the spring.

 

            CU continues its Texas road trip this weekend taking on the No. 38 Longhorns, Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
