The Colorado Buffaloes (1-8, 1-4 Big 12) return home to Boulder after a rough two-game Midwestern swing to take on the Kansas State Wildcats (5-4, 2- 3 Big 12) in a 1:40 p.m. MST kickoff at Folsom Field... Fox Sports Net will televise the game, with Joel Meyers (play-by-play), Dave Lapham (analyst) and Jim Knox (sideline reporter) to call the action. Fifteen of the FSN regional networks will carry the game live, as will Comcast Chicago; those include Arizona, Bay Area, Detroit, Florida, Midwest, New England, North, Northwest, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Rocky Mountain, South, Southwest and West... There are about 14,000 tickets remaining for the game, with a similar number left for next weekGÇÖs home finale against Iowa State... Saturday is National College Football Day (third annual); created by the Cotton Bowl, the group has partnered with V Foundation for Cancer Research to use the day to help increase awareness about menGÇÖs cancers (information: www.NationalCollegeFootballDay.com)... ColoradoGÇÖs lost eight games by an average of 9.5 points, including four by five points or less, one of those last weekend at Kansas by a 20-15 margin... The Buffs led 9-0 at halftime and for the second time in 2006 could not hold on to a twoscore lead, just the 15th time that has occurred in 219 games since the start of the 1976 season... CU remains mathematically alive, albeit seemingly as remote as the planet Pluto, for the Big 12 North title and the Fiesta Bowl (itGÇÖs BCS or bust for the Buffaloes: if CU wins out and wins the Big 12 North, it must win the title game to go bowling).
