Kenneally Earns Regional USTA/ITA Community Service Award

SKILLMAN, N.J. ? University of Colorado tennis head coach Nicole Kenneally was awarded the Intermountain Region USTA/ITA Community Service Award announced Thursday.
Kenneally was one of 15 coaches honored for significant contributions in developing community-based tennis programs through community centers, schools, parks, community tennis associations, inner city, suburban or rural programs.
“It is a great honor,” said Kenneally, who is in her eighth year at CU. “There are a lot of other people who share this award with me in putting together the Tennis Marathon as well as other events. I thank them for their valuable time.
“My team also deserves this award as they are invested in the event and understand the significance of their contribution.”
Kenneally and her staff helped raise over $16,000 at their Second Annual Tennis Marathon held last August.
The Tennis Marathon more than doubled from the first year with all proceeds from this year’s event going to HealthLinks Clinic, Inc., and HealthLinks Foundation. HealthLinks Clinic, Inc. is a non-profit therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation facility that provides opportunities for healthy cancer survivorship. HealthLinks combines post-surgical physical therapy with medically supervised exercise programs, lymphedema treatment, nutrition and lifestyle counseling.
The coaches will be honored on December 15 at the ITA Coaches Convention at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in
