No. 39 Women?s Tennis Hosts Mizzou Saturday Morning

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado women’s tennis team will take on the Missouri Tigers Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Millennium Hotel Harvest House. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Buffaloes (8-5, 2-3 Big 12) will attempt to even their conference record, while the Tigers (5-5, 0-4) look for their first Big 12 win.
CU leads the head-to-head series 20-2 with 10 of those victories coming in Boulder, a place where Mizzou women’s tennis has never won.
Sophomore Veera Nurmi leads CU in dual match play wins (10) and overall victories throughout the 2005-06 season (19). Freshmen Franziska Jendrian and Monica Milewski each have won nine spring victories, followed by senior Jessica Vanderdys, who has eight.
Vanderdys ranks 15th all-time in school history with 69 career singles victories. She is also 18-8 for the season.
Entering this week’s play, CU is No. 39 nationally and has won three of their last five matches.
