BOULDER ? The University of Colorado men’s and women’s tennis teams will play a Sunday doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel Harvest House. The CU women's match has been moved to the Millennium Hotel Harvest House for a 11 a.m. start against Texas A&M; the men will start at 2 p.m. also at the Harvest House.

The CU women, nationally ranked No. 44 will play No. 51 Texas A&M Sunday at 10 a.m. The Aggies have won three straight matches, all in Big 12 play. A&M is 8-8 on the season, however are a perfect 4-0 in the conference.

 CU brings a 9-5 overall record and 3-3 in the Big 12 and will look to break a seven-match losing streak to the Aggies. The Buffaloes have been idle since March 18 when they shut out Missouri, 7-0.

Freshman Monica Milewski is the lone CU player nationally ranked in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings at No. 80.

The CU men’s tennis team opens their home conference season at South Campus with a 2-0 record after defeating Oklahoma State and Oklahoma last week on the road. It’s the first time since 1996-97 that the Buffaloes have opened the conference season 2-0. On Sunday, the Buffs will play No. 53 Nebraska (10-7, 0-2 Big 12).

The Cornhuskers are coming off a 5-2 loss at Denver on Friday and have lost three in a row.

CU (11-5, 2-0 Big 12) ranked No. 35 nationally, their highest ranking in 10 years, has won their last four in a row against Nebraska, six of last seven and their last seven in a row in Boulder.

Peter Bjork is the lone men’s player ranked among the ITA players coming into the match at No. 121st.  Bjork has won seven of his last eight matches.

Sunday’s match for the men is the first of seven consecutive matches at the South Campus Tennis Courts. After the Nebraska match, the Buffs will play a doubleheader against Northern Colorado on April 4.

Three days later, Colorado will host Texas A&M (April 7) and Texas (April 9). Other home matches are Boise State (April 14) and the home finale against in-state rival Denver (April 16).

All home matches begin at 1 p.m.
