CU Athletics to Host Four "Meet Your Team" Receptions in June

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado Athletic Department will host various “Meet and Greets” for CU supporters next month in a series of “Your Team” events to be held in Longmont, Broomfield, Windsor and Denver.  Buff fans are encouraged to bring family and friends to meet several of CU’s head coaches and administrators.

 

            The first gathering will be Thursday, June 8 at 8 a.m. when the Boulder Buff Club hosts a “Breakfast with the Buffs” at Fox Hill Country Club in Longmont.  The cost will be $10 per person and will feature athletic director Mike Bohn and several CU coaches, including Dan Hawkins, Kathy McConnell-Miller and Ricardo Patton.  The breakfast precedes the Buff Club Golf Tournament at Fox Hill, which is open to the public.  Interested parties can sign up for either event by calling 303-492-5497.

 

            CU’s second Your Team event will be a reception on Tuesday, June 13 at 4:30 p.m. at the Omni Interlocken Resort in the outdoor pavilion.  This event will feature a program with Mike Bohn and Dan Hawkins which will begin at 5:45 p.m.  This event is free of charge and open to Buff Fans of all affiliation.

 

            The third June event will be held on Thursday, June 22 at 5 p.m. at the Pelican Lakes Golf Club Clubhouse.  Hosted by the Northern Colorado chapter of the Buff Club, this reception is also free of charge and all Buff Fans are welcome.

 

            CU Athletics’ final June event will be Wednesday, June 28 at Elitch Gardens.  Co-sponsored by Athletics and the CU Alumni Association, this event costs $30 per person and includes a barbeque buffet, all-day admission into the park and a free ticket to return to the park in September and October.  The barbeque buffet is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will feature CU's head coaches and administrators.  For tickets, call the CU-Boulder Alumni Association at 303-492-8484.
