BOULDER ? The University of Colorado menGÇÖs basketball team will close out the road non-conference portion of the 2007-08 schedule traveling to the Colorado State to take on the Rams, Saturday, Dec. 22 at Moby Arena. The game will be broadcast on The Mountain-West Sports Network beginning at 7 p.m.

The 119th meeting of the in-state rivals can also be heard on 760-AM with Mark Johnson and Charles Johnson, in addition on Sirius Satellite radio channel 114. The Buffaloes lead the all-time series, 85-33 and hold a 34-25 advantage in Fort Collins.

Colorado (5-5) plays for the first time in 10 days and brings a three-game losing streak to Fort Collins. They are led by Richard Roby (14.8 ppg.) and Marcus Hall (13.6 ppg.). Hall also tops the team in assists (3.4 apg.), steals (1.8 spg.) and 3-pointers made 20. First-year head coach Jeff Bzdelik is 4-0 against the Rams.

CSU (5-6) has won the last two games against the Buffs in the series and will be looking for their first three-game win streak in the series since 1951. The Rams defeated the Buffs last year and led throughout almost squandering a 16-point lead defeating CU, 72-69 in Boulder. The Rams snapped a 13-game losing streak in Boulder dating back to Dec. 2, 1957. Richard Roby scored 20 points with four assists and three blocks, while Jermyl Jackson-Wilson added 10 points and six rebounds.

The Rams enter the game on a three-game losing streak falling to Nevada (74-66), North Dakota State (83-69) and Minnesota (91-74). Head coach Tim Miles is the seventh first-year head coach the Buffaloes are playing this season (Air Force, Colorado State, Denver, Florida A&M, New Mexico, New Orleans, Wyoming). He inherits a CSU team that went 17-13 a year ago with two letterwinners and one starter returning.

After Colorado State, CU will have seven days off during the Christmas holiday to prepare for the first of three straight non-conference home games starting with Grambling State (0-6) on Saturday, Dec. 29. CU has never played the Tigers, who represent the Southwestern Athletic Conference. On Jan. 4, 2008, the Buffs will play SMU (4-4) for the first time since the 1979-80 season (FSN RM) and on Jan. 7, play Tulsa (4-4) for the first time since the 1986-87 season.
