Kenneally Inks Jensen For 2008-09

BOULDER ? University of Colorado womenGÇÖs tennis head coach Nicole Kenneally announced that Michala Hedelund Jensen signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her education in Boulder for the next four years beginning in 2008-09.
Jensen from Frederiksberg, Denmark, is currently ranked in the top-10 of the Danish open senior division. In 2007, she won the 18-under Danish Championship and was a member of the Danish Junior team that claimed the bronze medal.
In 2006, Jensen was a two-time bronze medalist at the 18-under Danish Championships in the indoor and clay events.
GÇ£Michala has competed tremendously hard in her home country and has had a lot of success there,GÇ¥ said Kenneally. GÇ£I am really looking forward to Michala having an opportunity to continue working hard in the environment that we have here at CU. I think her game will continue to improve and she will be a big contributor in our program.
GÇ£(Assistant Coach) Tina (Samara) has spent some time with Michala and her family and we are excited that she will be joining us for the tennis player that she is but also, more importantly for the great person that she is.GÇ¥
Jensen will join the Colorado roster with six returning letterwinners in 2008 and intended college major will be business.
