MBB Takes On No. 5 Seed Texas Tech, Thursday

FOR STARTERS: Colorado enters the conference tournament as the only school not to play on a neutral court this season ... CU has never been the No. 12 seed ... LAST TIME vs. TTU (complete box and story on page 27): Jay Jackson scored 28 points to lead Texas Tech past Colorado 95-74 back on Feb. 17. Richard Roby led the Buffs with a team-high 17 points. Jermyl Jackson-Wilson, Xavier Silas and Dominique Coleman added 15, 14, and 11 points, respectively. Tech was sharp from 3-point range, hitting 11 of 25, and led by double digits for much of the game. The Red Raiders took their largest lead at 64-38 when Martin Zeno hit two free throws with more than 10 minutes left in the game.

SIXTH MAN...no more: With two games coming off the bench for the first time in his career (KU, Feb. 14; at Texas Tech, Feb. 17) Richard Roby returned to the starting up at Iowa State (Feb. 21) with 23 points, seven rebounds and 26 points, six rebounds against Kansas State (Feb. 24). His 21 shots from the field at ISU were the most since firing 24 back on Dec. 4 against Pepperdine. His two-game total in a reserve role was 12.0 ppg. 5.5 rpg. and 10-for-21 FG% (.476).
