SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? Hannah Warfield-Ruffatto and Zach Hazen each earned another regional qualifying mark at the Sacramento State Open on Friday, May 4, at Hornet Stadium on the campus of Sacramento State University.

 

Warfield-Ruffatto recorded a qualifying mark of 152-11 in the javelin. This was the sixth time this season she has surpassed the regional mark of 142-06. Warfield-Ruffatto took second overall.

 

Hazen recorded a toss of 189-09, which was the fourth time this year he has surpassed the regional mark of 182-05. Hazen placed fourth overall in the hammer throw.

 

Ryan Willis placed fourth in the shot put; recording a mark of 49-05.00. Patrick Bachmann and Willis placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the discus. Bachmann earned a mark of 156-06 and Willis recorded a toss of 150-00.

 

Several of the Buff throwers will be back in action tomorrow at the Modesto Relays. The full track and field team will be  in action on May 11-13 in Lincoln, Neb., for the Big 12 Outdoor Track And Field Championships.
