Niko Strzepek: How has camp been for you?
Tyler Ahles: It has been going well; I am working hard and learning a lot about this defense.
NS: What are some of the things the veterans have taught you?
TA: How to work hard, make sure I am running all the time and getting to the ball.
NS: How do you think you’ll affect the team this year?
TA: I am going to be positive and learn a lot.
NS: What do you see yourself doing in a couple years, on and off the field?
TA: On the field, starting on defense and making big plays. Off the field, learning and doing well in school.
NS: How does it feel to play for a coach like Brian Cabral?
TA: It is really great, he knows a lot. He keeps us working hard and it has been a great experience.
NS: What are some of the biggest challenges that you have overcome in football?
TA: Trying to motivate myself to work hard and get over all the little things.
NS: Where have you seen yourself grow?
TA: Mentally. Coming from a high school program to a Division 1 program, the defensive schemes are very different.
NS: What would you like to your major to be?
TA: I haven’t decided yet, but I want to get the little class out of the way.
NS: What year did start playing football?
TA: Freshman year in high school.
NS: What are some of your biggest accomplishments in your career?
TA: Making it to a Division 1 school.
NS: What are some other sport(s) that you enjoy?
TA: Skiing, snowboarding, track and wrestling.
NS: What are some of your hobbies?
TA: Video games, reading and watching movies.
NS: What are some of your favorite video games?
TA: Halo 2, Gears of War and Rainbow 6: Vegas.
NS: What are your favorite movies?
TA: The Matrix trilogy.
NS: Any favorite T.V. shows?
TA: Big Brother.
NS: Any favorite professional team?
TA:
NS: Any favorite meals?
TA: Anything BBQ and Mexican food.
NS: Do have a role model?
TA: My guardian, John Beck. He has done a lot for me and got me to where I want to be.
NS: What is your life goal?
TA: To graduate from CU and to change the world.
NS: If you could do one thing to change the world, what would it be?
TA: I would try to get everyone on the same page, so there wouldn’t be so much conflict.
