CU Kickoff Classic 5k Set for Labor Day

BOULDER - The 2007 CU Kickoff Classic 5K “Running with the Buffaloes”, a Labor Day event that benefits the University of Colorado cross country and track and field programs, is set for Monday, Sept. 3.

The race is scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m. at CU’s Franklin Field, located at Folsom Street and Colorado Ave. The entry fee is $20 if a runner registers prior to the race. Walk-in registration ends at noon on Sunday, Sept. 2 and is offered at two separate locations: Boulder Running Co. (28th & Pearl; 303-786-8255) and Fleet Feet (2624 Broadway; 303-939-8000). Race day registration is also available for $25 and can be done at the Balch Fieldhouse on the west side of Folsom Field beginning at 7 a.m. There will also be kids races starting at 8:45 a.m.; registration for children is $10.
