BOULDER ? The University of Colorado women’s tennis team opens the home spring schedule Friday afternoon against the DePaul Blue Demons at the Millennium Harvest House. First serve begins at 4 p.m. with the doubles competition followed by singles.

 

The Buffaloes, ranked No. 56 nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) will look to claim victory for the first time this season after opening last weekend in Albuquerque dropping a pair of matches against New Mexico and Vanderbilt.

 

DePaul represents the BIG EAST Conference and comes into the Boulder with a 2-0 mark after defeating Butler and Western Illinois at home on Jan. 19.

 

CU junior Monica Milewski is the lone nationally ranked player among the singles and doubles rankings beginning the spring campaign No. 36.

 

Each home match the CU Sports Information Office will feature a women’s tennis player with a series of 21 questions. Friday’s featured student-athlete is freshman Christiane Pheil from Asheville, N.C.

  

The Buffaloes continue their homestand at the Millennium Harvest House with upcoming matches against Northern Colorado (Feb. 6) and Denver (Feb. 9).

 

Admission is open to the public and parking is free.
