BOULDER ? The University of Colorado Buffaloes men’s basketball team will host their second game in four days, in addition wrapping up the non-conference season against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, Monday, Jan. 7, 7 p.m. at the Coors Events Center.

            The game is not televised and will be broadcast on KKZN 760 (Mark Johnson and Charles Johnson). The game can also be heard on Sirius satellite radio on channel 123.

            The Buffaloes (8-5) have won three-straight games for the second time this season and have eclipsed more victories than last year’s seven. CU has also produced five games this season shooting over 50 percent in which they have won all five. After 13 games, the Buffaloes have winning records at home (3-3), on the road (3-2) and on a neutral court (2-0).

Senior guards Richard Roby (15.8 ppg.) and Marcus Hall (13.5 ppg.) continue to lead CU in scoring, while the Buffaloes have placed four or more players in double figures in each of their last three games.

Monday night’s match up is the second straight with a school from Conference USA.

Tulsa is making their first-ever trip to the Events Center and have not played in Boulder since Dec. 2, 1965. It’s also the first time since the 1986-87 season both schools are playing one another with CU holding a 4-1 advantage in the series.

The Golden Hurricane (7-4) bring a five-game winning streak (all played at home) outscoring the opposition by an average of 25.4 points. Tulsa is a perfect 6-0 at home, however looking for their first win on the road this season (0-3).

CU begins the Big 12 Conference season this Saturday, Jan. 12 taking on the nationally ranked the Texas A&M Aggies in College Station. Game time is 2 p.m. (mountain).
