FSN Rocky Mountain will telecast nine University of Colorado men’s basketball games and seven women’s games during the 2008-09 season, the network announced on Thursday.
FSN Rocky Mountain is also slated to telecast one CU women’s volleyball game and one women’s soccer game this fall.
The CU men’s basketball telecast schedule gets underway on FSN Rocky Mountain when Colorado travels to play at Stanford for a nationally televised game on Sat., Nov. 29 at 8:30 p.m. as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series. The CU men also host Colorado State on Wed., Dec. 10 at 8:00 p.m. The men's telecast schedule includes five Big 12 Conference games which means that all 16 CU Big 12 games will be aired either nationally or regionally by one of CU's Big 12 media partners.
FSN Rocky Mountain’s women’s telecast schedule begins with CU hosting Colorado State on Wed., Nov. 19 at 7:00 p.m. The schedule features six Big 12 games, with one game against Nebraska airing nationally Sat., Jan. 31 at 1:00 p.m.
FSN’s Drew Goodman will handle play-by-play duties for the men’s telecasts while Marc Stout begins his first season doing play-by-play for the women’s telecasts. FSN Rocky Mountain’s college basketball analyst Ceal Barry is in her fourth season with the network and serves as the game analyst for CU men’s and women’s games. Barry coached the University of Colorado women’s basketball team from 1983 to 2005.
As per Big 12 guidelines, CU men’s basketball games will be shown within the state of Colorado boundaries. All CU women’s events air throughout the Rocky Mountain territory and will be available nationally on DirecTV and DISH Network.
In addition to the seven CU women’s games, FSN is slated to telecast 18 additional Big 12 women’s basketball games, plus seven games of the Big 12 Championship, live nationally.
The CU women’s soccer team celebrates “Senior Night” when they play Texas A&M Sun., Oct. 26 at 1:00 p.m. on FSN Rocky Mountain while the volleyball team hosts Kansas State Wed., Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
