Men Ranked 10 in USTFCCCA Poll

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado men’s cross country team jumped up six spots to No. 10 in the USTFCCCA poll released on Tuesday afternoon.
The Buffs earned 256 points in this week’s poll. Oregon continues to hold onto the top spot with 357 points while Oklahoma State is second with 345 points.
The Buffs moved up in the poll after winning the NCAA Mountain Region Championship last Saturday in Fort Collins, Colo. Colorado finished ahead of two then-higher ranked teams; then-No. 7 Northern Arizona and then- No. 11 BYU.
Jordan Kyle, who earned his third CU Athlete of the Week honor for his performance, led CU by taking sixth overall. Richard Medina was eighth, followed by Chris Pannone at ninth. Kenyon Neuman took 13th and Seth DeMoor was 18th. All five earned all-region honors in the victory.
The men’s cross country team will represent CU at the 2008 NCAA Championship on Monday, November 24. They will compete in the 10k race at 12:48 p.m. EST. The race will be broadcast live on CBS College Sports Network and online via NCAA.com.
