Wetmore Named Mountain Region Coach of the Year
BOULDER ? University of Colorado head cross country coach Mark Wetmore has been named the 2008 NCAA Mountain Region Men’s Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
Wetmore’s coach of the year honor is the 14th overall as he has been the men’s region coach of the year on 10 occasions, and women’s coach of the year four times. The Colorado men won the regional meet on Nov. 15 for the sixth straight year to advance to the NCAA Championship.
The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be run Monday, Nov. 24, on the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center. CU’s men’s team is ranked 10th overall and will race at 12:48 p.m. (EST).
The championship will be broadcast live for on the CBS College Sports Network. The broadcast will start at 12 p.m. EST and will finish at 1:30 p.m.
