Memorial Service For Bryan Sax Set

BOULDER ? A memorial service has been set for former University of Colorado national champion skier Bryan Sax, who was killed Dec. 6 in a mid-air collision between two planes over the Florida Everglades.  The service will take place Sunday, Dec. 14, in the Ballroom of The St. Regis Aspen Resort from 2-5 p.m.

The ballroom is located in the lower level of the hotel and there is a discounted rate on hotel rooms available for $225 (about half off the normal nightly rate) for the service.  Simply mention the Bryan Sax Memorial when booking.

Sax is CUGÇÖs most recent giant slalom national champion, winning the event in 1995 and helping the Buffaloes to the team championship that season, capping a storybook career which began on CUGÇÖs development team and culminating with an NCAA title in his only collegiate victory.   A team captain as a senior, he won the Buddy Werner Award that season and graduated with a degree in Economics. 

He is survived by his wife, Christy and their daughter, Zaya, 7, and a stepson, Dante Lizotte, 13, a daughter from his first marriage, Hannah, 13, his parents, Don and Marcia and a sister, Rachel, another CU graduate and ski team alum.
