BOULDER?The University of Colorado women’s cross country team was honored by receiving one of the USTFCCCA All-Academic team honor on Wednesday. The Buffaloes recorded a 3.220 grade point average during the fall season and own a cumulative GPA of 3.365.

 

Jenny Barringer was named the USTFCCCA Women’s All-Academic Cross Country Athlete of the Year on Feb. 25 and teammates Sara Vaughn and Erin Marston were also named to the All-Academic Team.

 

In all, 158 Division I women’s programs received the honor.  The Big 12 Conference and the Atlantic Coast Conference had the most programs on the All-Academic Team list with ten apiece.  The Big East Conference, Big Ten Conference and the Missouri Valley Conference each had nine teams on the list.

 

For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet.  The team must also have a minimum 3.00 team cumulative grade point average.
