BuffVision Awarded Second Telly of 2007-08

BOULDER ? The University of Colorado’s BuffVision department won its second Telly Award in 2007-08 for an advertising campaign designed to sell football tickets.

The bronze award recognizes the series as a whole for overall production value. Director of BuffVision Deric Swanson and Assistant Director Eric Pelloni produced the entire six-commercial series.

The commercials were written by Marketing Promotions Coordinator Justin Urman and hosted by KOA play-by-play personality Mark Johnson.

This is the second Telly Award BuffVision has won this year. Last month the department was awarded a bronze statue for the 2007-08 Coaches Show, which is seen weekly on Fox Sports Net Rocky Mountain throughout the entire school year.

The award is also the eighth national award earned by BuffVision since its inception in 1999, and the fifth Telly earned in the last six years, including two in 2006 for the CU Institutional Spot featuring Ralphie IV running through the Boulder campus.

Along with various video projects and advertisements, BuffVision produces all of the video for the athletic department's 16 sports and all of the multimedia for CUBuffs.com.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. This year’s Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents.
