Study Areas and Computer Lab Policy
General Study Hall Rules
- Computer Lab/Study Hall reserved for CU Student-Athletes only.
- Please remain quiet at all times in study areas.
- Come prepared to focus strictly on study.
- Turn off cell phone when in the study area. You must leave the study area if you wish to make a phone call.
- Earphones are permitted as long as it is not too loud and is used appropriately. (Watching movies on laptops/mp3 players will result in loss of earphone privileges.)
- Sleeping, lounging, horse playing, or any disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Drinks are permitted in the quiet study area. Food is not permitted
- No reading or magazines/newspaper. (unless specified on a course syllabus)
- Group work and tutor sessions are to be held in study room next to computer lab. (Group work involving non-student-athletes are to be held in the GÇ£CGÇÂ¥ Lounge. You must inform study hall worker and academic coordinator in order to receive credit for study hall hours.)
- Laptop check-outs can be arranged for tutor sessions (see Kris Livingston to make a request)
Computer Use
- Computers are to be used for academics only!
- Inappropriate use of email or Internet will not be tolerated. (i.e. viewing or printing of obscene material)
- Chatrooms, Instant messenger, computer games, facebook can be accessed in the GÇ£CGÇÂ¥ Lounge.
- Absolutely no food or drinks are permitted in the Computer Lab.
- Printing will only be used for academic work.
Violation of study hall rules may result in immediate dismissal & loss of hours for the day. Your coach & academic counselor will be notified.
