Jenny Barringer 3,000 Meter
Steeplechase
The 2008 NCAA 3,000 Meter Steeplechase champion,
Jenny is a first time Olympian and has the honor of competing in
the sport which is debuting at the Beijing Olympics. Jenny is
a five-time All-American in cross country and track & field at
Colorado and will be a senior in eligibility in
2008.

Kara
Grgas-Wheeler Goucher 5,000 & 10,000
Meters
Kara, who will be inducted into the CU Athletic
Hall of Fame this fall, will compete in her first Olympics after
winning the 5,000 Meters at the 2008 US Olympic Trials and also
qualifying in the 10,000. Kara was a seven-time All-American in her
career at CU (1996-2000) and a three-time NCAA champion.

Casey
Malone Discus
Casey has coached the Buffaloes'
throwers for the past eight seasons and advances to his second
Olympics. The 1998 NCAA discus champion while competing for
Colorado State, Casey finished sixth, and was the highest American,
at the 2004 Olympics in Athens. He had one of his most successful
seasons as a coach in 2008, helping the CU men to the Outdoor Big
12 title.

Billy
Nelson 3,000 Meter
Steeplechase
The 2008 NCAA runner up in the 3,000 Meter
Steeplechase, Billy advances to his first Olympic games after
placing second at the US Olympic trials. Nelson, who wrapped up his
collegiate career with his second place finish at the NCAA Outdoor
meet, Billy is a four-time All-American in cross country and track
& field.

Dathan
Ritzenhein Marathon
Dathan is an Olympian for the second
time, as he was a member of Team USA in the 10,000 meters at the
2004 Olympics in Athens. Dathan was a six-time All-American for CU
(2000-04) and was the 2003 NCAA Individual Cross Country
champion.

Jorge Torres 10,000 Meters
Jorge makes his first Olympic team
after placing third in the 10,000 Meters at the US Olympic trials.
An eight-time CU All-American (1999-03), Jorge was the 2002 NCAA
Individual Cross Country champion and won the 2006 USA Outdoor
10,000 meter title.
