Tennis Offering Free Clinics

BOULDER ? On Wednesday, March 4,, the University of Colorado tennis staff and student-athletes will begin a series of free tennis clinics for the Boulder and surrounding communities.
This includes players of all levels and ages ? men, women, boys and girls. No RSVP is required and everyone may show up on any or all of the days.
The event will run on Wednesdays during the month of March (4, 11, 25) and April (1, 8, 15, 29) at the CU South Campus Tennis Courts. Scheduled time is 4:30 ? 6 p.m. (weather permitting, please check www.cubuffs.com for updates). Please wear non-marking tennis shoes.
“We are proud to offer our community the opportunity to participate in drills and live ball opportunities with our staff and players,” said CU tennis head coach Nicole Kenneally. “Tennis is a great sport of a lifetime and we look forward to providing this opportunity for everyone interested.”
Directions from the Airport: You will fly in or out of Denver International Airport (DIA). Driving time between DIA and Boulder is approximately 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. There are two ways to get from DIA to Boulder, one via the freeway and another using the toll road E-470/Northwest Parkway.
- Freeway -- From DIA, follow Pe?a Boulevard (10 miles) south to Interstate 70, and exit onto I-70 west. Follow I-70 to I-270 west. I-270 merges onto U.S. Highway 36 west. Exit Table Mesa/South Boulder Road (via right at fork at off ramp). Left on Table Mesa (exit ramp light) go through first set of lights and proceed over bridge (U.S. 36). Left at second light. Passing through the open gate, turn right at fork in the road. The courts will be on your left. Parking is south of the courts.
- Toll Road -- From DIA, follow Pe?a Boulevard and exit onto E-470 north (Exit 6B) towards Fort Collins. Follow E-470/Northwest Parkway for 28 miles until it ends at a stoplight at 96th Street. You will encounter three toll plazas along the route (if you don't exit elsewhere) which will collect $2 at each stop (as of July 2006). Once the toll road ends at 96th Street, continue through the next two stop lights and exit onto U.S. 36 west. Exit Table Mesa/South Boulder Road (via right at fork at off ramp). Left on Table Mesa (exit ramp light) go through first set of lights and proceed over bridge (U.S. 36). Left at second light. Passing through the open gate, turn right at fork in the road. The courts will be on your left. Parking is south of the courts.
