MBB Player Suspended
BOULDER ? University of Colorado men’s basketball student-athlete Andrew Zehnder has been suspended indefinitely by CU Athletic Director Mike Bohn after Zehnder was cited by CU-Boulder Police for an incident that occurred on Saturday, Jan. 31.
“Since joining our program as a walk-on, Andrew Zehnder has respected our program as a model student-athlete,” Bzdelik said. “What caused this uncharacteristic lapse of proper conduct is a mystery to us all. Obviously, this kind of behavior will not be tolerated, and as a result of his actions, he is immediately suspended from all basketball-related activities.”
Zehnder, a 6’3", 175-pound walk-on sophomore guard from Arvada, Colo., is in his second year with the Buffaloes. He has played in nine games during the 2008-09 season averaging just under a point per game.
