Hawkins To Co-Host Save Our Youth Event

BOULDER -- University of Colorado head football coach Dan Hawkins will serve as a co-host for Game Day, a fundraising banquet for the Save Our Youth Mentoring Project, on Tuesday, April 28, at Invesco Field at Mile High.

Hawkins will be joined by Air Force head coach Troy Calhoun and former Colorado State head coach Sonny Lubick as hosts for the semi-annual event which is set to run from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the stadium's East Club Lounge. Former Colorado quarterback and current Assistant AD Charles Johnson will be the master of ceremonies for the evening.

This “Tailgate Gala” will capture the soul and spirit of a college football game day at its best including: live marching band melodies, cheerleaders, rolling football footage, tailgate appetizers and a plated gourmet dinner. Colorado fans are encouraged to represent their Buffaloes by donning a CU sweatshirt, team jersey or any other fan-worthy attire for Game Day!

Save Our Youth transforms the lives of at-risk youth through mentor relationships, providing the skills for success in educational, emotional and spiritual development. The program annually serves over 450 urban at-risk youth in the Denver metro area.
