Kelley Leaving CU MBB Program

BOULDER ? University of Colorado men’s basketball head coach Jeff Bzdelik has announced that freshman guard Ryan Kelley has decided to leave the team and will not return for the 2009-10 season.
“Ryan Kelley has decided to seek another university where he can expand his role as a player,” Bzdelik said.
Kelley played in 17 games this past season and was one of five freshmen on the 2008-09 team. The 6'2", 185 pound guard averaged 2.6 points and 0.5 rebounds per game and led the team in scoring with 19 points at Missouri on Jan. 14.
The native from Pomona, Calif. was the youngest scholarship men’s basketball student-athlete in the Big 12 Conference this season.
The departure of Kelley leaves the Buffaloes with a pair of scholarships to fill for the 2009-10 campaign.
