2010 Track & Field Reunion

BOULDER - The University of Colorado track and field program will have its first reunion in 20 years this coming weekend, October 22-24.
The reunion falls on the 25th anniversary of the 1985 men's cross country team placing third at the NCAA Championship, as well as the 10th anniversary of the 2000 NCAA women's championship team, CU's first-ever cross country championship team.
Over 200 alumni and current athletes are expected to celebrate one of the most decorated track and field/cross country programs in the country.
The reunion will kick off on Friday, October 22 at the Stampede Parade on Pearl Street at 7 p.m. immediately following the parade there will be a reception at the Boulder Draft House from 7:30-10 p.m. On Saturday, October 23, there will be events surrounding the CU football game against Texas Tech, including a tailgate prior to the game. The final event will fall on Sunday, October 24, with a 9 a.m. run with the Boulder Road Runners. They will meet at 30th and Iris at the First National Bank.
The Chris Severy Endowment will also be recognized during the reunion. The endowment is named in honor of Chris Severy, a former CU athlete who was tragically killed in a bike accident while competing at CU. He was an All-American and an Academic All-American for the Buffaloes. The endowment directly supports the track and field and cross country programs.
