FSN Rocky Mountain Schedule Announced

BOULDER - The University of Colorado Buffaloes take center stage this fall and winter on FSN Rocky Mountain as the network announced plans on Friday to broadcast 20 live athletic events over the next four-plus months.

Mountain will telecast nine CU men's basketball games
and nine women's games during the 2010-11 hoops season.
The network is also slated to telecast one CU womenGÇÖs
volleyball game and one womenGÇÖs soccer game in the coming
weeks.
FSN Rocky Mountain will televise CU soccer's final Big 12 Conference regular season contest when the Buffaloes host Nebraska on Friday, Oct. 29, at 3 p.m., on "Senior Day." The volleyball team then hits the airwaves by hosting Missouri on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 6:30 p.m.
Basketball coverage will tip-off with the first of two FSN Rocky Mountain televised doubleheaders on Friday, Nov. 12, as the women will host Regis at 5:30 p.m. followed by the CU men facing Idaho State at 8 p.m. The second doubleheader pits the Buffaloes and the Colorado State Rams on Wednesday, Dec. 8, with the women's game at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's clash at 8 p.m.
The CU men's basketball telecast schedule also includes a road contest at Georgia (Tuesday, Nov. 16, 5 p.m.) followed by home games against Alcorn State (Tuesday, Nov. 23, 7 p.m.) and Texas-Pan American (Tuesday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m.). After the Colorado State game, the men close out 2010 with games against The Citadel (Friday, Dec. 17, 7:30 p.m.), Longwood (Sunday, Dec. 19, 2 p.m.) and Maryland-Eastern Shore (Wednesday, Dec. 29, 7 p.m.). FSN Rocky Mountain's men's schedule will feature one Big 12 match up as the Buffaloes host Iowa State on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m.
Twelve of CU's 16 Big 12 games -- including seven at home -- will be aired either nationally or regionally by one of CU's Big 12 media partners. In all 21 men's games are scheduled for either regional or national television.
FSN Rocky Mountain's women's basketball telecast schedule includes six Big 12 games, beginning with a home date against Kansas on Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. Super Bowl parties across the nation will have reason to begin early as the Buffaloes' host Nebraska on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m., in a nationally televised game on FSN. Road games against the Huskers (Wednesday, March 2, 6 p.m.) and Kansas State (Wednesday, Feb. 16, 6 p.m.) are also on the schedule as well as a match up with 2010 Women's Final Four participant Oklahoma, in Boulder (Wednesday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m.).
One of the most televised women's basketball teams in the nation, the Buffaloes have appeared on 81 regional or national telecasts since the 2001-02 season. The 2010-11 campaign will also mark the ninth straight season in which CU has at least seven regional or national broadcasts.
As per Big 12 Conference guidelines, CU men's basketball games will be shown within the state of Colorado boundaries. All CU women's events air throughout the Rocky Mountain territory and will be available nationally on DirecTV and DISH Network.
In addition to the nine CU women's games, FSN is slated to telecast 18 additional Big 12 women's basketball games, plus seven games of the Big 12 Championship, live nationally.
