Busy Wednesday Highlights Week Ahead For Buffs

BOULDER - A busy Wednesday featuring national signing day for football, soccer and track & field, a nationally televised home men's basketball game against Kansas and the start of the spring season for men's golf highlights a busy week ahead for the Colorado Buffaloes. 
  • The men's basketball team will host No. 1 Kansas on Wednesday, in a 7 p.m. tipoff on ESPN2.  The Buffs will also host Missouri Saturday at 2 p.m. in a Big 12 Network game.  (Tickets are available for both!)
  • CU's women's basketball team has a bye mid-week but will travel to Waco to face Baylor on Saturday.   
  • The No. 2 ranked ski team will resume action in the New Mexico Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Taos and Red River, N.M. 
  • The track & field squads join the ski team in New Mexico at the New Mexico Classic Indoor meet in Albuquerque on Saturday. 
  • Men's golf opens its spring season with a trip to Hawai'i at the Mauna Lani Invitational along the Khola Coast Wednesday through Friday.  Tennis is on the road with matches at BYU Saturday and at Boise State Sunday. 
  • Football, soccer and track & field teams around the country will be busy announcing their respective classes of 2010 on Wednesday, the first day prospective student-athletes can sign national letters of intent.  Coverage of CU's classes will be available on CUBuffs.com and coach Dan Hawkins press conference will air live on BuffsTV at 3:30 p.m.
  • Thursday will feature the 2010 CU Football Preview Luncheon in Denver at the Sheraton Downtown Hotel.

A quick look at next week includes a women's basketball home game against Texas on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (Buy Tickets), the start of the spring season for women's golf, while track & field will be busy with a pair of meets and the men's basketball, tennis and men's golf teams will be in action, as well.
