HIGH SCHOOL - He earned All-Region honors from PrepStar and is ranked the No. 38 tight end in the country by ESPN. Scout.com rates him as the No. 73 tight end while Rivals.com ranks him the No. 76 player in Ohio and he is the seventh tight end on that list. He began his career at Meadowdale High School in Dayton where he started as a freshman and sophomore before transferring to Trotwood-Madison for his junior and senior campaigns. He earned honorable mention All-District and first-team All-Greater Western Ohio-North honors as a senior at Trotwood-Madison high school in Trotwood, Ohio, under coach Maurice Douglas. That season, he caught 28 passes for 411 yards and four touchdowns at the flex tight end and slot wide receiver positions. He had two receptions for 27 yards, both for touchdowns, in a 43-7 win over Turpin in the regional semifinals. He had a season high four catches for 105 yards against Mason and four catches for 50 yards against Wayne, both in close losses. He caught a touchdown pass against Piqua in a 28-7 win and also against Mt. Healthy in a 41-6 victory in the first round of the playoffs. Trotwood-Madison finished the season 9-4 and won the Greater Western Ohio-North League championship. As a junior when he earned first team All-Greater Western Ohio-North honors, he caught 14 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns. He caught the game-winning touchdown in the season finale against Butler, a one-handed grab in the corner of the end zone in a 27-25 victory. Trotwood-Madison won the conference championship despite a 4-6 overall record. As a sophomore at Meadowdale, he had 21 receptions for 220 yards and two touchdowns while earning All-City (Dayton) honors. He had a career-best six catches in a win over Dunbar that season. As a freshman, he had eight receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Ironically, the first touchdown grab of his high school career came against Trotwood-Madison as a freshman. He also played basketball for two years at Trotwood-Madison and one year at Meadowdale. He ran track his freshman year at Meadowdale, competing in the 200-m dash.
ACADEMICS - He is undecided on a major at Colorado but is interested in physical therapy.
PERSONAL - He was born March 12, 1992 in Dayton, Ohio. His cousin, Darius Watts, played collegiately at Marshall, was drafted in the second round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos and finished his college career with 272 career receptions, fifth-most in NCAA history. Watts also played in the Arena Football League and won a championship with the Philadelphia Soul in 2008. Favors enjoys drawing as a hobby and working out. He considers himself a comedian and is always trying to keep people in a good mood.
