HIGH SCHOOL - He earned All-Region honors from PrepStar.  ESPN ranked him as the No. 102 defensive end and Rivals.com the No. 119 defensive end.  He lettered three times in football and started two years at defensive end while spending some time at defensive tackle.  He earned first-team All-State and first-team All-TAPPS District 3 honors as a senior when helped lead St. Pius X to a 9-3 record and district championship under coach Rene Ramirez.  That season, he had 35 tackles, 13 sacks and 19 total tackles for loss and also had one pass break-up.  His junior year he earned first-team All-State and first-team All-District honors helping the team to a 7-3 record and district championship.  He had 44 tackles, 10 sacks and 15 total tackles for loss.  He earned honorable mention All-State as a sophomore when St. Pius X won a state championship with an 11-2 record.  That season he had 12 tackles, three sacks and forced two fumbles.  He lists his most memorable game in high school that season against Foster in a 21-17 win when he had three tackles for loss and two others for no gain in what he felt was his coming out party.  He also participated in the rugby team in high school. 

ACADEMICS - He plans on majoring in business at Colorado.  He was a member of the national honors society in high school. 

PERSONAL - He was born October 24, 1991, in Houston.  His father, Carl, played tennis at Fisk University.  He enjoys watching movies and playing video games.  He is active in the community as he helped in a summer program at Lincoln Park assisting kids.  He also worked at Camp Pine Tree, a summer program for kids.
